Accused of Deliberately Killing Her Children with Exercise Bands: Prosecutors

Massachusetts mother Lindsay Clancy is facing allegations of “extreme atrocity and cruelty” for reportedly strangling her three children to death with exercise equipment, according to prosecutors.
A recent motion obtained from CourtTV reveals that prosecutors are seeking to include the 911 call made by Lindsay’s husband, Patrick, in their case for the upcoming trial.
Lindsay stands accused of killing her three young children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan, by strangling them with exercise bands on January 24, 2023.
Patrick reportedly called 911 upon discovering Lindsay had thrown herself out of the second-story window of their Duxbury residence.
During the call, he found the children in the basement, each with an exercise band around their necks. Patrick’s frantic cries of “She killed the kids!” echoed through the motion.
Prosecutors argue that Patrick swiftly removed the bands from the children’s necks before emergency responders arrived, implying that Lindsay’s actions were not a mere act of tying the bands and leaving.
The prosecution claims that the evidence points to a deliberate and cruel act on Lindsay’s part, suggesting that she “manually pulled the bands around each child’s neck until they died.”
Lindsay’s defense attorney acknowledges her role in the children’s deaths but plans to argue that she was heavily medicated and suffering from severe postpartum psychosis, as reported by The New York Post. Both Lindsay and Patrick have filed lawsuits against the doctors responsible for her treatment.
Lindsay’s trial is set to commence on July 20, with her defense team intending to plead insanity as a defense strategy.
The victims, Cora aged 5, Dawson aged 3, and Callan aged 8 months, are mourned by all.
Rest in Peace.
