Megyn Kelly slams GOP reps backing ‘amnesty’ for illegal immigrants: ‘Betrayal’
Megyn Kelly Criticizes Republicans Supporting Immigration Proposal
Megyn Kelly criticized Republicans who are backing a bipartisan immigration proposal, labeling the “Dignity Act” as an amnesty plan disguised as a bipartisan effort that would allow millions of undocumented migrants to remain in the United States.
In a segment on SiriusXM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Kelly expressed her concerns about the legislation, referring to it as a “betrayal bill” that could have far-reaching consequences if passed into law.

She expressed outrage at the Republican co-sponsors of the bill, questioning their support for an amnesty bill and warning about the potential consequences of the proposed legislation.
The Dignity Act, introduced by Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-Fla.), has garnered support from both Republicans and Democrats, with 19 Republican co-sponsors and 20 Democrats.
Kelly dismissed the provisions of the bill that offer legal status to illegal immigrants in exchange for tougher border enforcement, arguing that similar efforts in the past have failed to deliver on their promises.

Kelly warned that any enforcement gains from the bill would be short-lived and criticized the provisions that allow certain migrants to remain in the country without fear of deportation.
She emphasized the importance of border security and questioned the Republicans’ support for an amnesty-focused agenda, urging a more stringent approach to immigration reform.
Salazar has defended the Dignity Act, stating that it would provide illegal immigrants with a chance to earn legal status through restitution and compliance with the law.
While the bill aims to tighten immigration enforcement through various measures, it remains in committee as discussions continue.
The Post has reached out to Salazar for comment on the proposed legislation.
