Corey Camper Jr. led the way for Nevada as they secured a 73-63 victory over Liberty in the second round of the NIT. Camper recorded an impressive triple-double with 10 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. Elijah Price also had a strong performance, notching a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Vaughn Weems, Tayshawn Comer, and Joel Armotrading all contributed with 10 points each.

The Wolf Pack, seeded No. 2, will now move on to the quarterfinals where they will face the winner of the matchup between No. 4 seed Seattle University and Auburn. Depending on the outcome, Nevada will either travel to Auburn or host Seattle in the next round.

Nevada started strong, building a nine-point lead in the first half. However, Liberty fought back, with Brett Decker Jr. leading the charge with 20 points. Zach Cleveland and JJ Harper also made significant contributions for the Flames.

In the second half, Price extended Nevada’s lead with a dunk off a rebound, putting them up by 11 points. But Liberty responded with an 11-0 run to take a 54-50 lead. The game remained close, with Decker hitting a crucial 3-pointer to give Liberty a 61-58 advantage.

However, Nevada rallied back with an impressive display of teamwork. Armotrading, Price, and Camper all made clutch free throws, while Comer added a crucial 3-pointer. Price capped off the run with a layup, giving the Wolf Pack a commanding 69-61 lead with just over a minute remaining.

With this victory, Nevada advances to the quarterfinals of the NIT, where they will look to continue their impressive run in the tournament.
