Oscar Solarzano arrested on first-degree attempted murder in Charlotte

A recent incident in Charlotte, North Carolina has once again shed light on the dangers of illegal immigration and the impact it can have on communities. A homeless illegal immigrant, Oscar Solarzano, was arrested for stabbing a man on the Charlotte Light Rail, just four months after the tragic killing of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska.

Solarzano, a 33-year-old man from Honduras, allegedly broke into the light rail train while intoxicated and challenged his victim to a fight before stabbing him with a large knife. The victim was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries and is currently in stable condition.

It was revealed that Solarzano had been deported from the country twice before illegally returning for a third time. His criminal history includes prior arrests for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, destroying evidence, resisting arrest, using a false ID, and convictions for robbery and illegal re-entry.

This incident comes just months after the brutal murder of Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee who was stabbed multiple times on the Lynx Blue Line in Charlotte. The suspect, Decarlos Brown Jr., a homeless career criminal, was charged with first-degree murder. Brown Jr. had a history of arrests for various crimes, including assault, firearms possession, felony robbery, and larceny.

The Charlotte community is reeling from these senseless acts of violence, with many calling for stricter immigration policies and increased support for mental health services. The incidents have sparked a debate on the role of illegal immigration in contributing to crime rates and the need for comprehensive reform.

As the investigation into these cases continues, it is crucial for authorities to address the root causes of violence and take steps to prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future. The safety and well-being of all residents, regardless of their immigration status, should be a top priority for local officials and law enforcement agencies.
