‘Persona’ Live-Action TV Adaptation in the Works at Netflix
Netflix is set to bring the popular “Persona” video game franchise to life in a new live-action series. According to sources, Christopher Monfette will be writing the adaptation, as well as serving as executive producer and showrunner. Joining him as executive producers are Shawn Levy and Robert Atwood of 21 Laps, along with Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson from Story Kitchen. Toru Nakahara of SEGA will also be an executive producer on the project.
The “Persona” franchise, known for its RPG elements, follows Japanese high school students navigating daily life while facing supernatural threats. Developed by P-Studios and published by Sega, the franchise has seen six main entries so far, with the highly anticipated “Persona 6” in development.
