‘Remember Me’ Becoming Tubi Movie: Christopher Pike’s YA Thriller
Tubi, the popular streaming service, is set to adapt the spooky teen classic novel “Remember Me” by Christopher Pike into a film. The movie will star Brec Bassinger and Charlie Gillespie, with Danishka Esterhazy directing a script by Suzanne Keilly.
The story follows Shari Cooper, played by Bassinger, who is murdered and must solve her own murder from beyond the grave before a sinister force known as the Shadow catches up to her. The film also features Mila Rayne, Phoebe Lyons, Matthew Vey, and Kealeboga Masango in supporting roles.
Adam Lewinson, Tubi’s chief content officer, expressed excitement for the project, stating, “Christopher Pike’s ‘Remember Me’ became a rite of passage for a generation — a twisty, supernatural thriller that readers never forgot — and we’re excited to reimagine it for today’s audience.”
The film is part of Tubi’s efforts to expand its young adult audience, with plans to release more original content targeted at that demographic in the coming years. Other upcoming projects include “How to Lose a Popularity Contest” and “Kissing Is the Easy Part.”
“Remember Me” is produced by Blue Ice Pictures, Lance Samuels, Esterhazy, and Keilly. The announcement was made during Tubi’s IAB Newfronts presentation, showcasing their commitment to engaging audiences with compelling storytelling and dynamic talent.
Fans of the original novel can look forward to seeing this beloved story brought to life on screen, with a fresh perspective that will captivate a new generation of viewers. Stay tuned for more updates on the release date and additional casting details for “Remember Me” on Tubi.
