Sky, a Comcast-owned broadcaster, has acquired the rights to the iconic television franchise “Baywatch” for the U.K. and Ireland. The show is set to launch in 2027 and will be available on Sky and its streaming platform Now, thanks to a deal with distributor Fremantle.
The reboot of “Baywatch” is a co-production between Fox Entertainment and Fremantle, with a star-studded cast that includes Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin, Shay Mitchell, Hassie Harrison, Noah Beck, Thaddeus LaGrone, Brooks Nader, David Chokachi, Erika Eleniak, and Livvy Dunne. The show will feature a new group of lifeguards patrolling Southern California’s famous shoreline in the iconic red swimsuits, promising high-stakes rescues, explosive drama, and plenty of beachside heat.
