The Motorola Razr 70 Might Finally Fix My Dodgy Holiday Photos

Group photos have always been a challenge when traveling, as it can be difficult to get everyone in the shot with a great background. Selfies are a common solution, but they often result in underwhelming images due to limited camera angles. Google tried to address this with the ‘Add Me’ feature on the Pixel 9 series, but AI-generated images can’t replace authentic holiday memories.

The most common solution remains asking a stranger to take the photo, but this comes with its own set of challenges. Not everyone has the same photography skills, and the quality of the photos can vary greatly. Despite this, travelers often graciously accept the photos, even if they are not up to par, just to avoid the awkwardness of asking someone else.

Motorola’s new Razr 70 flip phones aim to solve this problem with a feature called ‘Frame Match’. This feature allows users to take a photo of the desired framing before handing the phone to a stranger. The on-screen guide then helps the person taking the photo to position it correctly, ensuring a better result.

Another exciting feature on the Razr 70 series is ‘Camcorder Rotate to Zoom’. This feature allows users to zoom in and out by simply rotating their wrist, making video recording a touch-free experience. This adds a fun and nostalgic element to recording videos, reminiscent of old-school camcorders.

The Razr 70 series includes three models: the regular Razr 70, the Razr 70 Plus, and the Razr 70 Ultra. The Plus model sits between the regular and Ultra variants in terms of price, offering a balance between affordability and premium features. These new camera features on the Razr 70 phones could give them an edge over competitors like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 8 series in the competitive flip phone market.
