President Trump to Host Peace Summit with Azerbaijan and Armenia Leaders
President Donald Trump has announced that a historic peace summit will take place at the White House on Friday, bringing together Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
During the summit, President Trump will oversee the signing of a peace agreement and bilateral economic agreements between the United States and each country, marking a significant step towards resolving the long-standing conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
In a post on Truth Social, President Trump expressed optimism about the summit’s potential for success, stating, “These two Nations have been at War for many years, resulting in the deaths of thousands of people. Many Leaders have tried to end the War, with no success, until now, thanks to ‘TRUMP.’ My Administration has been engaged with both sides for quite some time.”
President Trump emphasized the historic significance of the peace summit, not only for Armenia and Azerbaijan but also for the United States and the world at large. He concluded his statement by saying, “It will be a Historic Day for Armenia, Azerbaijan, the United States, and, THE WORLD. See you then!”
