Trump says Iran deal to be signed Sunday, Hormuz strait to open after

President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that a peace agreement with Iran is set to be signed on Sunday, followed by the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. However, Iranian state media reported caution regarding the timing of the agreement.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated, “The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL.” He also mentioned plans to work with Iran to remove enriched uranium from the country in the future.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei emphasized the need for caution in signing any deal, indicating that the exact date for the agreement remains uncertain.

Trump’s post ended with a hint of consequences if Iran fails to comply with U.S. demands. The White House has not yet commented on Trump’s remarks.

A senior Trump administration official mentioned that there is some uncertainty about the signing of the agreement, which aims to bring long-term peace to the region and provide economic relief to Iran.
