Republicans are using the recent White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting to argue that Democrats should lower the temperature, but ex-MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan is highlighting their double standards.
Hasan pointed out that while Republicans want the left to tone down the rhetoric, they seem to overlook President Trump’s history of using divisive language. Hasan shared a video montage from his Zeteo outlet showcasing Trump’s past remarks filled with insults and derogatory remarks towards various groups and individuals.
The video includes clips of Trump referring to political opponents as the “enemy from within” and using derogatory terms to describe them. Trump also made disparaging remarks about immigrants and other countries, as well as insulting specific politicians like Kamala Harris, Ilhan Omar, and Nancy Pelosi.
