Uma Thurman to Return as Charley

Uma Thurman is set to make a comeback in the highly anticipated second season of “Dexter: Resurrection.” According to a report from Variety, Thurman will reprise her role as Charley, a former Special Ops officer who was previously seen working for Leon Prater, played by Peter Dinklage. In the Season 1 finale, Charley made the decision to break away from Prater and left New York to take care of her mother who was facing a terminal illness.

Thurman joins the cast alongside Brian Cox, who will be portraying the infamous serial killer known as the New York Ripper, Don Framt. Of course, Michael C. Hall will also be returning as the titular character Dexter Morgan.

While Thurman is most recognized for her work in feature films, she has received critical acclaim for her television roles as well. She was nominated for an Emmy for her guest appearance in the series “Smash” and won a Golden Globe for her performance in the HBO film “Hysterical Blindness.” Thurman has also recently been seen in the shows “Super Pumped” and “Suspicion.” Her impressive film credits include an Academy Award nomination for her role in “Pulp Fiction” and collaborations with Quentin Tarantino in the “Kill Bill” films. Her upcoming projects include the films “Oh Canada,” “Red, White, and Royal Blue,” and “Hollywood Stargirl.”

The new season of “Dexter: Resurrection” was developed by Clyde Phillips, the original series helmer who also serves as the showrunner and executive producer. Hall is not only reprising his role as Dexter but also executive producing the series.
