‘Yokoso Scooby-Doo!’ Anime at Tubi With Matthew Lillard, Frank Welker

Warner Bros. Animation is set to bring a new twist to the beloved “Scooby-Doo” franchise with the upcoming anime series “Yokoso Scooby-Doo!”. The series, which translates to “Welcome Scooby-Doo”, will follow the adventures of Scooby-Doo and Shaggy in Japan, where they inadvertently release mythical monsters causing chaos across the country. With the help of Scooby’s uncle, Daisuke-Doo, as well as new friends Yume and Takumi, the group embarks on a mystery-filled journey filled with monster chasing and fun chaos.

Tubi has acquired exclusive rights to “Yokoso Scooby-Doo!” in North America, while Cartoon Network will air the series internationally. This marks the first original anime series in the “Scooby-Doo!” franchise, reinventing the classic characters in a fresh and exciting way. The voice talents of Frank Welker, who has been voicing Scooby-Doo for over two decades, and Matthew Lillard, known for his portrayal of Shaggy in live-action films, will bring the beloved characters to life in this new anime adventure.

Directed by Itsuro Kawasaki and co-produced by Francisco Paredes, “Yokoso Scooby-Doo!” promises to deliver signature hijinks, mysteries, and of course, plenty of Scooby Snacks. OLM in Japan will provide production services for the series, ensuring that the dynamic artistry of anime brings the beloved characters to life in a whole new way.

This announcement comes on the heels of another exciting project from Warner Bros. Discovery animation studios heading to the competition. Disney+ and Hulu recently announced the premiere date for the new animated series “Adventure Time: Side Quests”, produced by Cartoon Network Studios.
