Seattle Man Arrested for Burglaries Targeting Professional Athletes

A Seattle man, Earl Henderson Riley IV, has been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries targeting the homes of professional athletes. The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Riley with four counts of residential burglary and one count of robbery in the first degree.

The burglaries took place at the residences of notable sports figures such as Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Blake Snell, Seattle Mariners center fielder Julio Rodriguez, Seattle Mariners pitcher Luis Castillo, and former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.

According to King County Prosecuting Attorney Leesa Manion, the arrest was the result of weeks of investigative work involving multiple search warrants and cooperation with various police jurisdictions.

Riley is currently being held in King County Jail on $1 million bail as the investigation continues. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of filing charges against other individuals involved in the burglaries.

The police and prosecuting attorney’s office expressed their determination to dismantle the burglary crew responsible for these crimes. Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Gary Ernsdorff emphasized that while Riley may be considered the ringleader, efforts are ongoing to identify and charge all parties involved.

It was also revealed that Riley had previously been in custody but was released after pleading guilty to three robbery counts. The attorney’s office is committed to pursuing justice and ensuring that all individuals responsible for the burglaries are held accountable.
