Denver Racquets Club debuts with pickleball, padel courts

A New Name and New Courts for Lakewood Sports Club

The Denver Racquets Club is now open for business, formerly known as the Meadow Creek Tennis and Fitness Club, located at 6305 W. 6th Ave.

Owner Ian Hintz shared, “For many years, the club focused solely on tennis, but in the fall of 2024 and summer of 2025, we added pickleball and padel to our offerings. We now have four racquet sports available and are conveniently situated in the heart of the Denver metro area.”

Since purchasing the club a year ago, Hintz has made significant upgrades to the 60,000-square-foot facility, including new lighting and fans for the seven indoor tennis courts. Additionally, the club boasts two platform tennis courts on-site, along with two indoor pickleball courts at a nearby satellite facility.

Hintz, a tennis coach at Kent Denver School, recently unveiled four padel courts, tapping into the rapidly growing sport that combines elements of tennis and squash within an enclosed space.

Looking ahead, Hintz plans to further enhance the indoor spaces with new locker rooms, food and beverage options, and potentially daycare services. He also aims to introduce sports like squash, badminton, and table tennis, alongside outdoor pickleball courts.

Membership at the Denver Racquets Club has surged under Hintz’s leadership, with the number of members increasing from 600 to around 1,000. The club now offers a monthly membership fee that grants access to all amenities, catering to individuals interested in playing multiple racquet sports.
