Missouri QB Beau Pribula carted off field with leg injury in scary scene

Missouri faced a frightening moment during their recent game against Vanderbilt, where they suffered a 17-10 road loss. The game took a turn for the worse in the third quarter when Tigers quarterback Beau Pribula sustained a serious leg injury while trying to convert on a fourth-down attempt. The injury was so severe that Pribula had to be carted off the field, leaving fans and teammates concerned for his well-being.

The incident occurred early in the third quarter when the game was tied at three. Pribula, who was looking to score a crucial touchdown, was met with a brutal hit from Vanderbilt’s defensive line, causing him to twist his leg awkwardly. The Commodores’ defense celebrated the stop, unaware of the gravity of Pribula’s injury as he lay on the ground in pain.

Trainers quickly rushed to Pribula’s aid, placing him in an air cast before transporting him off the field on a cart. Despite the distressing scene, Pribula showed remarkable composure and did not display any signs of visual discomfort, according to ESPN sideline reporter Kris Budden.

The extent of Pribula’s injuries remains uncertain, leaving fans and the team anxious about his future availability. Before the injury, Pribula had managed to throw for 68 passing yards, completing 9 out of 14 passes for Missouri. Throughout the season, Pribula has been a key player for the Tigers, amassing 1,617 passing yards with 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions, contributing to Missouri’s 6-2 record.

Following Pribula’s exit, freshman Matt Zollers took over at quarterback, delivering a commendable performance with 138 passing yards and a touchdown in the final quarter. Despite Zollers’ efforts, Vanderbilt managed to secure the lead with a late touchdown from quarterback Diego Pavia, sealing the victory for the Commodores.

Pavia, who went 10-for-19 in passing, ended the game with 129 passing yards and an interception. The game ended in disappointment for Missouri, but the focus remained on Pribula’s well-being and recovery as the team looks ahead to future matchups.
