Disappointing news for WWE ahead of Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE is gearing up for the upcoming edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which is set to air live from Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., on December 13. One of the main highlights of the show is expected to be John Cena’s last wrestling match, which is sure to draw in a large audience.

However, the Stamford-based promotion has faced a setback leading up to SNME. According to Netflix’s official website, the December 1 edition of Monday Night RAW failed to enter the global top ten rankings for the second consecutive week. Despite this, the red brand show managed to secure the ninth spot in the United States.

The main reason behind RAW’s exclusion from the top 10 can be attributed to the popular series “Stranger Things,” which dominated the rankings with five out of the ten spots. In comparison, Matt Rife’s holiday special occupied the tenth spot with 4.6 million views, a significant increase compared to RAW’s recent average views of close to 3 million.

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently criticized Triple H for his booking decisions on the December 1 episode of Monday Night RAW. Russo called out The Game, labeling him as the worst booker he has ever seen. He expressed his disbelief at the lack of babyfaces attempting to uncover the identity of the mysterious attacker who had cost them the match at a recent live event. Russo noted that only RAW General Manager Adam Pearce showed any interest in solving the mystery.

Russo went on to say, “In my 55 years of watching televised wrestling, I am now going to make the declaration without a shadow of a doubt: Triple H is the worst booker I have ever seen since 1971.” He criticized the lack of follow-up on the storyline and the absence of babyfaces on RAW to address the situation.

As WWE has yet to reveal the identity of the mystery attacker, it remains to be seen how long they will keep the character under the mask. Fans are eager to see how this storyline unfolds in the coming weeks.

In conclusion, the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event promises to be an exciting show with John Cena’s final wrestling match. Despite RAW’s recent struggles in the ratings, the WWE continues to push forward with compelling storylines and engaging content. With the wrestling veteran’s criticism of Triple H’s booking decisions, the promotion will need to address fan feedback and work towards delivering more satisfying narratives in the future.
