Brown University suspect found dead inside storage facility: Sources

The suspect involved in the tragic mass shooting at Brown University over the weekend has been identified and located, thanks to surveillance video and a crucial tip about a vehicle. Providence police revealed during a press conference that the suspect, a 48-year-old man with ties to Miami and Portugal, tragically took his own life.

Law enforcement sources disclosed that the suspect was discovered deceased inside a storage facility in Salem, New Hampshire. The investigation unfolded after a surveillance video of the suspect’s vehicle was cross-referenced with a tip received by authorities. This led them to a car rental shop in Massachusetts, where they obtained a rental agreement with the suspect’s name and footage matching the person of interest seen on the Brown University campus during the shooting.

Furthermore, there are indications that the Brown University shooting and the subsequent murder of MIT professor Nuno F.G. Loureiro may be connected. The MIT professor, also a Portuguese national, was found shot at his home in Brookline, Massachusetts, and tragically passed away in the hospital a day later.

The events of the past weekend have left the community in shock and mourning. Two students lost their lives, and several others were injured in the Brown University shooting, while the MIT professor’s death has added to the sense of tragedy in the region.

The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities are working diligently to uncover any potential links between the two incidents. As more information becomes available, updates will be provided.
