Prince’s Legacy Lives On: 10th Anniversary Celebration in Minneapolis

Can you believe it’s been a decade? Today, April 21, 2026, marks the 10th anniversary of Prince’s passing, and here at Brownstone Worldwide, we’re pausing to celebrate a man who didn’t just make music: he made a movement.

Prince was the ultimate neighbor in the Twin Cities, and his legacy is as loud and vibrant as ever. If you’re a fan of our Brownstone Living features, you know we love a good community story, and Minneapolis is pulling out all the stops for the “Purple One.”

The Big Celebration at Paisley Park

From June 3–7, 2026, Paisley Park will host “Celebration 2026.” This five-day event is going to be legendary. We’re talking unreleased concert footage, panel discussions with the “New Power Generation,” and live performances that would make the man himself proud.

A Community Sing-Along to Remember

The highlight for me? The massive community sing-along on Saturday, June 6. Thousands of fans will gather in downtown Minneapolis near the First Avenue mural. Led by a mass choir of over 100 vocalists, the city will literally sing Prince’s hits back to the heavens. It’s exactly the kind of “People In The Neighborhood” energy we love to cover.

Why It Matters

Prince taught us to be authentic and independent: values we hold dear at Brownstone. Whether we’re delivering breaking news or finding you the best deals in the Brownstone Marketplace, we’re inspired by that same creative spirit.

So, put on your favorite purple shirt, turn up “Purple Rain,” and let’s celebrate a legend. Minneapolis is waiting for you!
