Chirayu Rana, ex-JPMorgan staffer accused of ‘fabricated’ sex-assault claims once apparently asked legal chatbot for advice: ‘I was raped’

I should look into that,” Rana allegedly replied in the chatbot conversation.

Rana supposedly expressed feeling trapped after signing a waiver, stating, “Everyone seems to refuse to help me because of it.” He claimed to have lost a job because his alleged abuser breached a non-disclosure agreement and disclosed the incident to his new employer.

In a transcript, Rana showed interest in pursuing legal action, asking questions like “Do you think I actually have a valid claim?” and “Do you know anyone who might take my case?”

His lawsuit, filed under the name John Doe, accused his former colleague, Hajdini, of drugging him and coercing him into unwanted sexual activities. Hajdini’s legal team denied the allegations, stating she never engaged in any inappropriate behavior with Rana.

Despite facing harassment and abuse of power at his previous job, Rana’s claims were dismissed by an internal investigation at JPMorgan Chase. The bank spokesperson mentioned that the investigation found no evidence to support Rana’s allegations.

Friends of Hajdini defended her, calling her a top performer at the company and claiming that Rana’s accusations were false. Rana was not available for comment.
