Charlie Javice reportedly seeking a pardon from Trump

Charlie Javice, the founder of startup Frank, is currently seeking a pardon from the Trump administration after being convicted of defrauding JPMorgan Chase. Javice’s company, Frank, was acquired by JPMorgan in 2021 for $175 million. However, Javice was sentenced to over seven years in prison for overstating the number of customers Frank had.

During the trial, it was revealed that Frank claimed to have over 4 million customers, but in reality, the number was less than 300,000. This discrepancy led to Javice being found guilty of defrauding the bank. Despite the verdict, Javice is appealing the decision.

The Trump administration has been considering a wave of 250 pardons to commemorate the United States’ 250th birthday, and Javice is hoping to be included in this list. However, a spokesman for Javice declined to comment on the matter, while JPMorgan has yet to respond to the report.
