Fired trans Dem campaigner calls on followers to ‘kill your local Republican’ and vows ‘trans jihad’
A transgender activist and former campaign volunteer for a Democratic congressional candidate in Wisconsin has sparked controversy with a series of disturbing videos on social media. Teha Delaruelle, who briefly volunteered for Wisconsin Democratic Socialist Katrina deVille, called for violent actions against Republicans and vowed to unleash a “trans jihad” against members of the MAGA movement.
In one video, Delaruelle is seen sitting in front of a board with the message “kill your local Republican” written in black marker. Delaruelle declares, “We’re going to make this the moderate position for the state of Wisconsin,” while urging others to join in the disturbing call to action.
The activist, who was removed from deVille’s campaign for being “deeply troubled,” also posted a video declaring, “Just a reminder, we are doing trans jihad.” Delaruelle goes on to explain that the goal is to make MAGA supporters live in fear and anxiety, flipping the narrative of marginalized communities feeling unsafe.
In a recent Substack post, Delaruelle describes an ongoing “genocide” against trans and queer individuals and calls for a “Trans Jihad” in response to the threat. The post advocates for waging war against society in order to survive.
DeVille, the Democratic candidate, responded to the controversy by stating that Delaruelle was removed from the campaign due to concerns about creating a dangerous situation. DeVille emphasized that she does not support violence or threats towards anyone and denounced the former volunteer’s alarming statements.
Delaruelle has not responded to requests for comment on the situation. The videos and posts have raised concerns about the impact of violent rhetoric and the need for dialogue and understanding in a polarized political climate.
