The tragic death of 31-year-old Ashly Robinson, known as Ashlee Jenae on social media, has left her family seeking answers. Authorities in Zanzibar announced that the American social media influencer died by suicide at a hotel in Zanzibar, Tanzania, sparking uncertainty and grief among her loved ones.
Robinson, a popular lifestyle influencer with over 100,000 followers on Instagram, was on a vacation with her fiancée Joseph McCann in the Zanzibar region of Tanzania when the incident occurred. Her final Instagram post, a montage of photos from her 31st birthday celebration on a safari trip, hinted at a new chapter in her life. However, tragedy struck when she was found unresponsive in her hotel room on the night of April 8.
According to Zanzibar police, Robinson and McCann had a domestic dispute, leading to hotel staff separating them into different rooms. McCann, still being questioned by police, alerted authorities after finding Robinson unresponsive. Despite efforts to save her, Robinson was declared dead on April 9 after being transferred to a local hospital.
