Jon Stewart Slams Josh Hokit For Michelle Obama Comment at UFC 250
Jon Stewart Criticizes Fighter for Insulting Michelle Obama During UFC Event
On a recent episode of “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart didn’t hold back in criticizing fighter Josh Hokit for making derogatory comments about Michelle Obama during his post-fight interview at the UFC Freedom 250 event hosted by the Trump administration on the White House lawn.
Stewart didn’t mince words, calling Hokit a “fucking asshole” for his disrespectful remarks. He sarcastically mentioned looking forward to seeing Hokit’s performance on “Comics Unleashed” next week.
Earlier in the show, Stewart also took aim at conservative media for their enthusiastic coverage of the UFC event while simultaneously criticizing celebrations in New York after the Knicks’ NBA title win. He played clips of Newsmax anchors expressing excitement for UFC Freedom 250, highlighting the hypocrisy in their coverage.
Stewart humorously mocked the UFC event at the White House, calling it a “god-awful mockery” that devalued both combat sports and national dignity. He questioned the decision to air such an embarrassing spectacle.
Interestingly, Stewart revealed that Paramount, the parent company of Comedy Central where “The Daily Show” airs, broadcasted the event, adding a touch of irony to the situation.
In a tongue-in-cheek manner, Stewart praised Paramount for providing great content at a reasonable price, jokingly expressing pride in standing with the network despite the questionable programming choices.
