Nets fall to Kings after brutal turnover on final possession
The Sacramento Kings secured a hard-fought victory against the Brooklyn Nets with a final score of 126-122 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. Malik Monk was the standout performer of the game, scoring an impressive 32 points, with 10 of those coming in the crucial final five minutes of the game. Monk showcased his sharpshooting skills by making seven 3-pointers and going a perfect 9 for 9 from the free-throw line.
Devin Carter also played a key role in the Kings’ victory, contributing 16 points and coming up clutch with a pair of free throws in the closing seconds of the game. Carter’s composure at the free-throw line sealed the win for Sacramento as they held off a late surge from the Nets.
Rookie Maxime Raynaud recorded his 16th double-double of the season with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Precious Achiuwa added 14 points and 15 rebounds. DeMar DeRozan chipped in with 10 points and eight assists to help the Kings secure the much-needed win.
On the other side, Ben Saraf led the scoring for the Nets with 22 points, followed by Ziaire Williams with 18 points and Nolan Traore with 17 points. Despite their efforts, the Nets couldn’t overcome the Kings’ strong performance down the stretch.

The presence of Arkansas coach John Calipari, who coached Monk during his college days at Kentucky, added an extra layer of intrigue to the game. With Arkansas set to compete in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in San Jose, Calipari was in attendance to support his former player.
