Thief snatches over $25,000 in singles from San Diego strip club

A shocking video has surfaced showing a brazen thief making off with over $25,000 in one dollar bills after breaking into a strip club in San Diego. The owner of Expose gentlemen’s club in Kearny Mesa, Dino Palmiotto, has labeled the incident as an inside job, citing the thief’s knowledge of the club’s layout and security measures.

Surveillance footage captured the masked thief breaking into the club around 5 a.m. on Monday. The thief was seen kicking the door multiple times before making his way to the room where the safe was located. In a matter of minutes, the thief managed to steal a total of $25,300 in one dollar bills.

Palmiotto expressed shock at the thief’s familiarity with the club’s layout, stating that the criminal seemed to know exactly where to go to find the large sum of cash. He also mentioned that the thief was on the phone with someone while inside the club.

Despite every staff member having their own access code to the safe, the code used in this incident was linked to a former manager of the strip club. Palmiotto has taken steps to enhance security at the club following the burglary and is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.

The owner is determined to pursue both criminal and civil charges against the former manager who provided the alarm, office, and safe codes to the thief. The response from the community has been overwhelming, with customers showing support for the club in light of the incident.

While Palmiotto has not yet been contacted by the San Diego Police Department regarding the incident, an investigation is reportedly underway. The details of the investigation remain undisclosed at this time.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining strict security measures in businesses, especially those dealing with large amounts of cash. Owners and managers must remain vigilant and take proactive steps to safeguard their establishments against potential threats.
