Tom Hardy Fired From ‘Mobland’ Season 3
Tom Hardy’s departure from the Paramount+ crime drama “Mobland” has been confirmed by sources. The actor will not be returning for a third season of the popular series, with production already wrapped on Season 2 earlier this year. Reports suggest that Hardy’s exit from the show was due to issues on set with executive producer Jez Butterworth, 101 Studios, and others.
While a third season of “Mobland” has not been officially announced, the show’s success on the streaming platform makes it highly likely. It remains to be seen how Hardy’s character, fixer Harry Da Souza, will be written out of the series.
Created by Ronan Bennett, “Mobland” follows the Harrigan crime family, led by Pierce Brosnan’s Conrad and Helen Mirren’s Maeve, with Paddy Considine playing their son Kevin. The series quickly became one of the most-watched on Paramount+, thanks in part to Butterworth’s writing of all ten episodes.
This isn’t the first time Hardy has had conflicts on set, as he famously clashed with Charlize Theron during the filming of “Mad Max: Fury Road.” Director George Miller revealed that Hardy had to be persuaded to leave his trailer during production. Author Kyle Buchanan also detailed Hardy’s aggressive behavior on set in his book about the making of the film.
The news of Hardy’s departure from “Mobland” was first reported by Puck. As fans eagerly await news of a potential third season, it’s clear that the show will have to navigate the absence of one of its key stars.
