Trump says JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America rejected him as a bank customer

President Donald Trump recently revealed that he was rejected as a customer by the two largest banks in the United States, sparking renewed allegations of discrimination against conservative clients. In an interview with CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Trump disclosed that JPMorgan Chase had informed him that he needed to transfer “hundreds of millions of dollars in cash” to another bank within a 20-day time frame. Additionally, he stated that Bank of America refused to open an account for him when he attempted to deposit over a billion dollars.

According to Trump, Bank of America’s CEO, Brian Moynihan, told him that they were unable to accommodate his request. As a result, Trump had to seek out smaller banks to handle his transactions, depositing millions of dollars in various institutions. The president expressed his disappointment with the major banks, claiming that they had discriminated against him despite his history of being a loyal customer.

The details of this incident are still unfolding, and updates may follow as more information becomes available. It remains to be seen how this situation will impact the relationship between President Trump and the banking industry. Stay tuned for further developments on this story.
