‘Watson’ and ‘DMV’ Canceled at CBS
CBS has recently announced the cancellation of two of its shows, “Watson” and “DMV.”
“Watson,” which premiered in January 2025, is a drama series starring Morris Chestnut as Dr. John Watson in a modern Sherlock Holmes story. The show follows Watson and his team of ‘doc-tectives’ as they investigate and treat rare diseases for their clinic’s patients. In the upcoming second season, Watson will face a new challenge as Sherlock Holmes resurfaces, forcing him to confront a buried secret from his past. The show was created by Craig Sweeny and featured an ensemble cast including Robert Carlyle and Randall Park.
On the other hand, “DMV” is a workplace comedy set in the East Hollywood Department of Motor Vehicles. The show, which premiered in October 2025, follows the quirky employees of the DMV, including driving examiner Colette, misanthropic former English teacher Gregg, and charming surfer Noa. The series was created by Dana Klein and featured a talented cast including Harriet Dyer, Tim Meadows, and Gigi Zumbado.
Despite the cancelation of these two shows, CBS continues to offer a diverse range of programming for its viewers. Stay tuned for more updates on upcoming shows and announcements from the network.
