Limonero Films Nabs Worldwide Rights for Parad Media’s ‘Bock Saga’

Barcelona-based Limonero Films has recently acquired the global distribution rights for “Bock Saga,” an intriguing true crime series produced by Finnish company Parad Media.

The series, set to premiere on Finnish broadcaster YLE on July 27, has already secured deals with NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden, and DR in Denmark. “Bock Saga” delves into the mysterious world of Ior Bock and his followers, who believe they are the guardians of Finland’s ancient pagan culture as portrayed in the Bock saga.

The narrative takes viewers on a surreal journey from trance parties in Goa to an underground temple in Finland rumored to hold a fortune of €20 billion. Limonero Films describes the series as an exploration of faith, obsession, and conspiracy, blending real-time investigations, archival footage, and animation to uncover the truth behind the myth.

Parad Media’s CEO and producer, Axel Högström, expressed pride in presenting the bizarre tale of Ior Bock and his disciples to a global audience. He shared that the production spanned five years, taking the team across various locations worldwide, including the dark forests of Finland, parties in Berlin, the slums of Goa, and sunny California.

According to Högström, “Bock Saga” transcends both space and time, serving as a testament to the adage that truth is indeed stranger than fiction. Limonero Films’ founder and CEO, Pamela Martínez Martínez, echoed this sentiment, describing the series as a captivating blend of true crime, cults, eccentric characters, and hidden treasures.

The boutique distributor plans to showcase “Bock Saga” at the upcoming Sunny Side of the Doc event in La Rochelle, France, anticipating a positive reception from international audiences. With its unique storytelling and compelling narrative, the series promises to captivate viewers and shed light on the enigmatic world of Ior Bock and his followers.
