One of the Nancy Guthrie ransom notes apologized for her heartbreaking death: report

Disturbing Ransom Note Apologizes for Accidentally Killing Nancy Guthrie

A new report has revealed that one of the ransom notes sent to Nancy Guthrie’s family included a chilling apology for accidentally killing her. The email, received on Feb. 6, was traced back to the same IP address as previous blackmail letters that contained eerie details about Guthrie’s abduction from her Arizona home. The note described what she was wearing on the night she was taken, adding a sinister twist to the ongoing investigation.

The initial ransom demand, sent on Feb. 2, asked for $4 million in bitcoin and claimed that Guthrie was “safe but scared.” This message, along with the subsequent notes, convinced investigators that they were dealing with genuine kidnappers rather than internet pranksters. However, the follow-up note on Feb. 6 took a dark turn with an apology for Guthrie’s accidental death and a vague suggestion that her body could be returned for a price.

The ransom note shifted the focus of the investigation from a kidnapping to a potential homicide, prompting an emotional response from Guthrie’s daughter, Savannah, and her siblings. In a video posted on Instagram, they acknowledged the message and pleaded for their mother’s safe return, emphasizing her value to them and their willingness to pay any ransom.

Since Guthrie went missing on Feb. 1, authorities have been working tirelessly to unravel the mystery of her disappearance. A series of ransom notes flooded her family and media outlets, with investigators categorizing them into “the good, the bad, and the ugly.” Notes containing specific details about Guthrie were considered “good,” while the one referencing her accidental death was labeled as “bad.”

Despite the emotional turmoil and the ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made, and no significant leads have emerged. Savannah Guthrie, in an interview on “Today,” admitted that most of the ransom notes were likely fake but expressed belief in the authenticity of the two notes that the family responded to.

The search for Nancy Guthrie continues as her family, law enforcement, and the public hold out hope for her safe return.
