G7 leaders gorge on caviar, swill $7K vintage wine after vow to fight ‘lingering poverty’

G7 leaders gathered in Evian recently and made a pledge to combat global poverty, all while enjoying a lavish banquet dinner featuring caviar and rare wines, as revealed by a leaked menu obtained by The Post.

President Trump and other delegates indulged in Osetra caviar, roasted poultry, and Château Mouton Rothschild wines, including a 1982 vintage priced at around $7,000 per bottle.

The menu, curated by French President Macron’s chef Fabrice Desvignes, showcased the finest French cuisine, including cheeses, chocolates, and citrus fruits.

The summit declaration highlighted the importance of addressing poverty and debt vulnerabilities in vulnerable countries, with a focus on food security and health initiatives in underdeveloped nations.

The luxurious Hotel Royal in Evian, where the banquet took place, has a rich history of hosting influential guests since 1909, including British royalty.

Following the G7 summit, President Trump was set to be treated to another culinary experience at the Palace of Versailles, marking the 250th anniversary of US independence and celebrating Franco-American friendship.

Palace of Versailles, known for its grandeur and historical significance, has hosted numerous heads of state and dignitaries, including a recent dinner for King Charles III and Queen Camilla in 2021.
