Cinnabon Cuts Ties With ‘Bachelorette’ Amid Taylor Frankie Paul Drama

Cinnabon recently made the decision to cut ties with reality TV shows “The Bachelorette” and “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” following allegations of domestic violence involving Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. This move came after a spokesperson for the company stated that the collaboration no longer aligned with their brand values in light of recent developments and allegations surrounding the lead cast member.

According to a source cited by Variety, the Draper City Police Department in Utah is currently investigating the allegations made by Paul and Mortensen following a recent incident. As a result of this investigation, production for Season 5 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” has been put on hold. However, the pause is expected to be brief, with little impact on the release timeline for the upcoming season.

In a previous event on March 9, Cinnabon had introduced a new Swirled Soda inspired by the viral beverage trend popularized by the cast of “Mormon Wives.” The company had also released cup sleeves and packaging themed around both “The Bachelorette” and “Mormon Wives” to coincide with the launch of this new product.

Taylor Frankie Paul has been a prominent figure in “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” since its inception in 2024. Additionally, she is set to star in Season 22 of “The Bachelorette,” which is scheduled to premiere on ABC on March 22. Despite the ongoing investigation, the release schedule and promotional activities for the show remain unaffected.

This recent dispute between Paul and Mortensen is not the first of its kind. In a previous incident during Season 1 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” Paul was arrested for allegedly engaging in acts of violence towards Mortensen, including hitting, choking, and throwing metal chairs. These actions also reportedly endangered one of her children from a previous relationship. While Paul pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault, the charges of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse, and criminal mischief were ultimately dismissed. This arrest and subsequent probation had caused significant delays in filming between the first and second episodes of “Mormon Wives” Season 1.
