Bolt CEO fires entire HR team — blames them for ‘creating’ non-existent problems
The CEO of Bolt Financial Fired HR Department Amid Downsizing
Ryan Breslow, the 31-year-old CEO of Bolt Financial, recently admitted to firing the entire HR department as part of a 30% reduction in headcount earlier this year. Breslow made this revelation at Fortune’s Workforce Innovation Summit, where he cited an inept and entitled staff as the reason for the downsizing.
According to Fortune, Breslow described the HR team as creating problems that didn’t exist and claimed that these problems disappeared once the HR team was let go.
Breslow emphasized that Bolt will now operate as a leaner organization, leveraging AI at its core and transitioning back to startup mode. He explained that the downsizing was necessary to foster a culture of productivity and efficiency within the company.
Additionally, Breslow highlighted the shift in company culture following the downsizing, with a smaller and more junior team that is more energetic and focused on customer needs.
